I don't know. Maybe don't give away 2 rooks when faced with back rank mate. When you can easily just make one move to take with a Bishop ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
My friend is an 2500+ rated IM. I know he's amazing at chess. Top 1000 in world. I went to his house one night and he had invited three other players, two GMs and and another IM. I watched them play for two hours in amazement, and have watched an hour of this. It still breaks my brain. I love it. Way better than four way chess where you collude. I feel like a good partnership beats a couple hundred rating difference if you specialize.
All of those guys absolutely hate chess for a living and despise playing classical which is why they are inactive. No idea why variants don't get more traction. I refuse to learn openings and just stick to 960 and attacking lines because of their advice. I love this channel for the Martin challenges and thinking aloud. Chess is very cool, but life is much shorter than my friend's bookcase of impossible to parse chess theory books.
Less of this and more How to Think please!!
Great chess variant video! I just love them so much!
